Foreperson, Site

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Supervisor to join our team. Our client is a leading construction company specializing in bulk earthworks and civil works projects across Queensland. With a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget, we are committed to excellence in every aspect of our work.

The Senior Supervisor will play a key role in overseeing bulk earthworks and civil works projects from conception to completion. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Site Supervision, with a focus on earthworks, and will possess excellent leadership and project management skills.

The Position   

• Managing sub-contractors to ensure they are fulfilling their roles and responsibilities, monitoring their performance daily with regards to safety
• Maintain positive industrial relations with authorities and unions, resolving any issues in accordance with the client's guidelines.  
• Manage, motivate and supervise the site team and sub-contractors 
• Assist with on-site documentation, tracking coasts, procuring materials and equipment  
• Overseeing all OH&S and ensure the site is a safe workplace  
• Complete progress reporting, and activities, reports for shift handovers and consistent regular reporting to the Project Manager. 
• Deliver area of project on time & to budget 
• Maintain positive industrial relations with authorities and unions, resolving any issues in accordance with the client's guidelines

Qualifications and Experience:

• Extensive experience (minimum 5 years) in bulk earthworks, including excavation, grading, and compaction, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of earthmoving equipment, techniques, and methodologies, with the ability to operate machinery as needed.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
• Sound understanding of safety regulations and protocols, with a commitment to promoting a culture of safety and accountability.
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Relevant certifications and licenses (e.g., Construction White Card, Earthmoving Equipment Operator License) are highly desirable.
