About the Role

Our company implemented the Salesforce platform almost 3 years ago. Our Salesforce platform is implemented around the Service Cloud product. The platform is used to handle voice calls in our Call Centre, email and chat enquiries as well as warranty claims.

We are looking for our next rockstar to join our team that can help us embed the platform in the business by bringing their years of experience in the Salesforce platform as a developer to our business. Reporting to the Technology & Project Director.

You will join a team that includes a Salesforce Administrator and Salesforce Product Owner. You will enable us to increase our velocity and rely on our internal capability instead of Salesforce partners.

What would be your key responsibilities?

  • Working as the key builder in the platform, alongside a Salesforce Administrator and Product Owner and the wider ICT team
  • Be a hands-on proactive developer that is able to tailor solutions that deliver business value with the objective of future stability and maintainability with minimal technical debt

  • Through implementation, where possible use the UX, Flow and Automation technology through configuration preferred over hard-coded Apex coding. Enabling a wider set of the team to assist with future revisions and/or improvements
  • Design and implement custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and other related technologies
  • Advancing the development of the feature setup and usage of the platform to deliver business value
  • Documentation of all developed features including process maps
  • Build and configure the platform in accordance with Business Acceptance Criteria from our IT ticketing system. Ensuring test cases are provided for validation by our QA team
  • Develop and optimize automated workflows, processes, and triggers to streamline business operations.
  • Integrate Salesforce with third-party systems and external APIs to enhance data exchange and functionality
  • Proficiency in configuring and customizing Salesforce features such as Profiles, Permission Sets, Roles, Sharing Rules, Layouts, Custom Objects
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex business requirements and propose innovative solutions.
  • Stay updated on Salesforce platform updates, new features, and industry trends to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Salesforce Platform Developer I and Salesforce Platform Developer II certification
  • 7+ years continuous experience as a Salesforce Developer
  • Advanced experience as a APEX coder in the platform with CICD, classes, objects, flows, automations etc
  • In-depth exposure to Service Cloud
  • In-depth exposure to Dashboards, Reporting, Flows
  • Excellent communication skills and interact effectively with internal stakeholders.
