Job Description

As a 3PL Warehouse & Vendor Manager, you will be responsible for managing and optimising relationships with our third-party logistics providers. You will ensure that our 3PL partners meet performance standards, deliver on service level agreements, and support our overall supply chain strategy.

  • Manage day-to-day relationships with 3PL providers, including contract management, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs to track and evaluate 3PL performance, ensuring adherence to service level agreements.
  • Collaborate with 3PL partners to identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including procurement, inventory management, and customer service, to ensure seamless logistics operations.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and audits of 3PL providers, addressing any areas of non-compliance or performance issues.
  • Negotiate contracts and rates with 3PL providers to ensure competitive pricing and favourable terms.
  • Analyse logistics data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present reports on 3PL performance, cost savings, and operational efficiencies to senior management.
The Successful Applicant
  • Proven experience in managing third-party logistics providers, preferably in an import/distribution or related industry.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and logistics operations.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Proficient in using logistics management software and tools.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and act on logistics data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with 3PL partners and internal teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Dangerous goods experience preferred
