Role Description/Criteria

We are currently seeking a full-time staff member for a Middle School Classroom contract position. The position will be on a fixed term basis (approved parenting leave) for 2025. The commencement date is expected to be Tuesday 28 January 2025.

In addition to the criteria outlined in the Role Description attached for this position, the following are key criteria.

Key Criteria

  • Demonstrate a commitment to Catholic Education and the mission of the Catholic School
  • Possess expert knowledge and understanding of current thinking and research into curriculum, pedagogy, contemporary learning and the Victorian Curriculum
  • Have recognized expertise, and practical understanding of, differentiated learning including students with special needs
  • Be skilled in the use of digital education
  • Have highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships with all members of the school community
  • Have a strong commitment to fostering team processes and an ability to support, contribute, initiate, and implement change in line with the school's improvement plan
  • Hold current VIT Registration
  • Hold Accreditation to Teach in a Catholic School or be willing to undertake studies to complete this within a three year period.
