About the Opportunity

This role is a 12 month contract based opportunity with a high chance of renewal. A flexible, hybrid work environment ensures a great work-life balance - this is a Geelong based position and requires some time spent in office. This is a full time position open to Australian Citizens only.

About the Role

The Events team encompasses four key functions that cover event management and support, third-party events and expos and executive and ministerial event support. This service offer enables the the delivery of impactful and successful events while fostering internal and external connections and advancing the interests of the Agency.

Requirements of the position include

  • Australian Citizenship (required)
  • Positive contemporary attitudes to people with disability, high level understanding and knowledge of disability, and its impact on individuals
  • Relevant experience in event management, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously and work under tight deadlines
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and suppliers
  • Able to negotiate effectively by listening differing ideas and views to develop a clear understanding of the issues, and to present persuasive counterarguments
  • Strong project management skills
