Job Description

Reporting to the CEO, our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Controller to oversee their financial operations and contribute to the strategic financial planning of the organization. Integral to this role is the ability to manage effective accounting processes for diversified revenue streams as well as work strategically with business owners on how to uplift their divisions and reach their strategic goals.

This role is responsible for:

  • Manage and lead the finance and accounting team.
  • Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
  • Perform financial analysis, forecasting, and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Monitor cash flow, budget performance, and financial metrics.
  • Assess and mitigate financial risks.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize financial performance.
  • Assist in the development of financial strategies and long-term business plans.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors and financial institutions.
  • Be a key player in the selection and implementation of a new ERP System.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will be a proactive and supportive leader, a strong relationship builder and a conduit between finance and operations. Key requirements for this role are as follows:

  • CA or CPA qualified
  • Proven experience leading a team
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience with ERP implementation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Adaptable and capable of working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
