The Opportunity

Come and discover the opportunity to join our NSW Processing and Logistics team at our Port Kembla manufacturing facility as a Rail Compliance Officer.  As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.

Reporting to the Logistics Asset Leader, this position is responsible for the coordination of rail activities including track and facilities maintenance, the provision of training and advice, management of rail safety with regards to the safe isolation of rail tracks and to provide assistance to the Logistics team with regard to the rail maintenance contractor and rail accreditation.

What will you do?

Working together with key partners in identifying key issues, you'll also be:

  • maintaining, updating and uploading compliance-related files to internal systems and share points
  • working with our team leaders to perform training needs analysis create training plans and maintaining training records
  • participate cross-functional projects and improvement initiatives
  • ensure training and compliance with Safe Systems of Work and Rail Isolation systems on the rail network
  • ensure the closeout of internal and/or external audit actions
