About the role

We have an opportunity for a RECON Psychologist to be part of our injury & Claims, Workforce Safety Command, People & Capability Command. The RECON Psychologist is part of a multidisciplinary team working in collaboration to deliver a cohesive and effective treatment program, delivering best practice evidence-based treatment and outcomes for those employees suffering a psychological injury or illness. They provide support to assist employees to remain active in the workplace, as well as those returning to work following injury or illness.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Psychologist to join RECON, NSW Police Force’s in-house, multi-disciplinary treatment team that rehabilitates and works to prevent both physical and psychological injuries sustained in the workplace.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing of NSW Police Force employees through the delivery of psychological services to RECON participants. RECON aims to make treatment accessible to NSW Police Force employees, our multidisciplinary team works to deliver high quality, evidence-based therapies to our clients, in a timely manner in support of their recovery from injury and/or in promotion of their holistic wellbeing.

The role includes clinical supervision and access to internal learning and development opportunities, and offers you the opportunity to work within an experienced and passionate team environment with a focus on improving the health and wellbeing of the NSW Police Force.

We are looking for a motivated psychologist with a passion for therapy and a desire to help NSW Police Force Officers navigate recovery from psychological injury. The successful applicant will have a strong knowledge of evidence-based treatments for psychological injuries, be passionate about helping others through psychological therapy, and enjoy working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide holistic treatment to our clients.

The RECON Psychologist will also have opportunity to deliver psychoeducation packages to Commands and Leadership teams, offering you excellent opportunity to network and build connections within NSW Police Force.
