Grade 1 Sleep Scientist – Respiratory and Sleep Medicine

About the role

This permanent part time position within the Respiratory and Sleep Medicine department will ensure children are set up and monitored overnight for their sleep studies.

What you’ll achieve:

Full set up of sleep monitoring equipment including trouble-shooting and management of all electrodes and sensors to produce signal excellency

Modifications when faced with complex children of additional needs or those on respiratory support

Handover to night staff if on the setup shift

Full management of children setup for overnight polysomnography until morning, including adjustment of leads/sensors, management of equipment and adjustment of CPAP if needed

Your skills and experience

Bachelor of Applied Science or Bachelor of Science or equivalent, where equivalent includes a degree awarded by an overseas tertiary intuitions which is recognised by the national office of overseas skills is mandatory.

Significant experience working in a paediatric sleep unit and significant ventilation experience working with CPAP
