About the Service

KU Maidstone, is a brand new purpose built KU service, they provide quality care and education to the local community offering long day care, funded kindergarten and allied health services. For the children and families of Maidstone, KU provides a bespoke centre design and quality play-based program which intentionally enhances opportunities and experiences based upon the Victorian Early Years Learning & Development Framework, for each child to discover and pursue their own interests and strengths.

The service has a strong focus on the development of strong, respectful and reciprocal relationships with children and their families. This approach is built our program through the implementation of the key educator approach. Children benefit from this focus because continuity and consistency of care between the family and educators establishes familiarity for children, building a sense of trust and connection with educators and the service. 

The Role

The team at Maidstone are looking for an experience and composed Certificate III qualified educator to work with them in a permanent full time capacity which is Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day on a rotating roster. 

You will accrue a monthly rostered day off as well, meaning you will have 6 weeks of available paid time off

Of course, you will need:

  • Australian working rights
  • A current VIC Working with Children Check
  • An ACECQA recognised Certificate III
  • Completed training in Child Protection
  • Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
  • Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF)
