Senior Events Producer

The Placemaking, Community Events and Activations team deliver an exciting and fast-paced portfolio that makes Campbelltown a vibrant and livable city.

About the role:

The successful applicant will have a key role in leading the planning, delivery and review of Council’s annual calendar of high quality community events and festivals that drive visitation and positive outcomes to Campbelltown. It is a key senior role within the Placemaking, Community Events and Activations team and is a great opportunity for a well-organised team player who is comfortable and competent when engaging and working with the community, as they are with their colleagues across the organisation.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or relevant job related experience in the events field. Demonstrated Local Government experience coordinating and delivering major community events. Demonstrated experience working with multiple stakeholders to deliver community events Experience in coaching and mentoring staff Experience in piloting new event and activation ideas Political and cultural sensitivity and knowledge of the protocol required for events and functions. Understanding of risk management plans and control systems. Demonstrated capacity to prioritise tasks and to handle competing tasks within agreed timelines. High level interpersonal skills and the ability to deal appropriately with diverse stakeholders. Experience engaging and managing contractors and suppliers. Experience speaking in a public forum including as MC. Demonstrated willingness to work flexible or extended hours to ensure successful delivery of events. Current Class C drivers licence. Solution orientated, enthusiastic and proactive attitude to “getting the job done”. Commitment to role modelling our values of respect, integrity, trust, teamwork and optimism.
