The Oppor­tu­ni­ty

We seek a Work­shop Co-Ordi­na­tor to over­see the repair and main­te­nance of the Coun­cil’s plant, vehi­cles, machin­ery, and equip­ment to ensure that they are in a safe work­ing con­di­tion.

You will man­age the Coun­cil’s repair and main­te­nance pro­gram includ­ing pro­ject­ing vehi­cle main­te­nance sched­ules, diag­nos­ing and resolv­ing plant, vehi­cle, and machin­ery issues, sched­ul­ing dai­ly main­te­nance and repairs and coor­di­nat­ing work­shop bud­get, con­trol­ling stock/​inventory and source and order­ing parts, and active­ly par­tic­i­pate in mechan­i­cal repairs and the main­te­nance of Council’s fleet.

Your respon­si­bil­i­ties will include keep­ing accu­rate dai­ly work records and report­ing any issues includ­ing major repairs or equip­ment replace­ment to the super­vi­sor and main­tain­ing and trou­bleshoot­ing the spe­cial­ist C‑Bus sys­tem for the road sweeper.
