We are seeking a full-time Electrical Fitter to join our client's Australian manufacturing company (50 years of Electrical & Engineering excellence) based in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne

You will be focusing on the assembly and manufacturing of custom designed electrical control switchgear and power distribution equipment for a range of industrial applications. You will play a key role in ensuring product deadlines and customer requirements are met.

Who will you be working with?

With over 50 years of experience manufacturing across 23 branches throughout Australia, our client specialises in manufacturing electrical engineering products for manufacturing, infrastructure and utilities, defence, and mining sectors.

What will you be doing?

  • Interpretation and assembly of products according to design drawings within a safe and timely manner
  • Quality checking of in-process and finished products to ensure compliance to specifications and requirements
  • Ensure production targets and customer requirements are met
  • Ability to complete assembling and testing activities for switchgear and panel boards
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematic wiring diagrams and engineering drawings

 
What do you need?

  • A-grade licence, electrical fitter licence or similar A Grade or Electrical Fitter/Trades Assistant
  • Proven history of assembling and testing electrical products
  • Practical understanding of electrical schematic, wiring diagrams and engineering drawing
  • Strong technical skills
  • Positive can-do attitude
