Job Description
- Take the opportunity to provide strategic marketing thought leadership to the marketing team
- Drive the Marketing strategy for our Member and Partner program
- 12 month Fixed-term contract based at Mascot Campus
Qantas Loyalty is a high performing business and has a history of launching exciting new brands and services that make a difference to its millions of Frequent Flyer and Business Rewards members. Qantas Frequent Flyer and Qantas Business Rewards remain at the core of the program, while the business has evolved to include a number of businesses such as Qantas Money, Qantas Insurance, Qantas Hotels & Holidays and Qantas Wine.
As the Head of Marketing, is responsible for leading, developing and delivering the Qantas Loyalty Member and Partner marketing strategy, launch cross-channel communications and
ongoing marketing for Qantas Loyalty. You will also be responsible for the development and implementation of strategies to increase engagement with the Loyalty program, increase effectiveness of marketing campaigns and increase ROI. This includes member lifecycle strategies and the development of a content strategy for members, as well as marketing for potential customers and new Loyalty businesses.
This role is a critical player in designing commercial outcomes for Marketing activity to ensure commercial objectives, and growth, are delivered. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the business to leverage opportunities and create a positive customer experience which
increases member activity and therefore revenue for the business. This role is also responsible for the efficient running of the operational elements of the marketing team both internally and externally, this includes; managing suppliers to ensure cost efficiencies for the business, ensuring processes are managed correctly, and building productive working relationships.
What you’ll bring to the role –
- Fifteen years’ experience in marketing, media, digital or related disciplines in a large/listed corporation. While not mandatory, Retail experience is desirable.
- A thought-leader with a passion for developing innovative marketing solutions through the use of data, insights and experience.
- Minimum five years marketing experience in corporate or agency environment, with
expertise in data driven marketing and digital experience preferred. - Proven track record in building successful marketing plans and implementing class -
leading creative campaigns using external marketing and advertising agencies. - Keen interest in online, social media and mobile trends, technologies and
innovations. - Solid understanding of the technology linked to web and mobile development.
- Previous experience in managing at least one direct report.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – both written and verbal – with the
ability to effectively liaise and negotiate with all levels of management. - Deep analytical approach to problem-solving.
- Results-oriented.
