About the Opportunity
As Control Systems Engineer, you will be accountable for ensuring reliable and safe operation of CleanCo’s control systems for our existing power generation assets including dams and gas plants.
You will work in close collaboration with your Brisbane engineering team and site-based engineering peers to ensure all assigned control systems work is executed in accordance with CleanCo’s frameworks, standards, policies and processes. You will develop and implement control systems and operational technology systems including instrumentation and communication systems. You will also provide strategic asset management and life cycle planning for these systems.
As well as providing effective management of providers, vendors and technical specialists, key to your success in this role will come from building positive, collaborative relationships with both internal operations and external stakeholders.
About you
- Tertiary degree (engineering or relevant discipline);
- Post graduate, further certification and/or TUV FSEng or equivalent certification is desirable;
- Experience in control systems engineering (SCADA, PLC and DCS systems), ideally within the power generation, heavy industry or resources sectors;
- Ideally, experience working with operational technology (cyber security) infrastructure or a genuine interest in building technical capability in this field;
- Sound Knowledge of IEC61131-3 Programming languages;
- Knowledge of OT cyber security (eg. (SOCI Act 2018, AESCS, IEC62443) is advantageous but not mandatory;
- Experience with Allen Bradley Control logix Family of Industrial automation products;
- Experience in and understanding of the Functional Safety Lifecycle as detailed in IEC61508 & IEC61511;
- Sound Knowledge and practical experience with virtualisation technologies particularly the VMware suite of solutions;
- Knowledge of Windows Active Directory Systems concepts, maintenance, and operation;
- Knowledge of telemetry systems, packet radios and remote outstations;
- Ability and willingness to drive the delivery of and ensure the execution of Control system initiatives;
