More Canberrans consume their News via the Amplify newsroom than any other media outlet in the ACT. As part of the team you will be responsible for identifying, creating and delivering compelling news to a targeted audience on-air and on demand. While our work is consumed largely through radio speakers, our multi-platform news operation also works to deliver our content online via our websites, social media channels (checkout on Instagram) and through a variety of video formats. Being a member of our news team also comes with the opportunity to work on-air alongside our shows and other podcasting programs produced by the AmplifyCBR team.
About The Role:
You’ll be responsible for researching, writing and reading news on-air across both our radio brands as well as our news podcast Engaging with and keeping our audience informed through our online and digital assets Contributing to our on-air shows and products as required Working fulltime across a variety of shift times Monday – Friday About You:
Will have a confident, conversational reading style which suits our brand Experience producing accurate, punchy and creative bulletins targeted to a specific demo Self-motivated and love working in both a solo and team environment Have excellent knowledge of news and sport Can work comfortably with news operations and systems Understand social media and how it relates to news gathering and story creation The ability to write content for online audiences What’s in it for you
