Employment Type: Permanent full time and Part Time
Hours: 8 Hours Shifts or 10 hours shift - working across a Monday – Friday AM or PM Roster; and on-call duties (in the future).
Salary: As per the Victorian Public Sector EBA 2020-2024, will be updated to the New Agreement once implemented

Werribee Mercy Hospital is seeking experienced and enthusiastic Endoscopy nurses with Interventional Endoscopy, PACU, Anaesthetic and DOSA experience Registered Nurses to join our team.
As a public hospital servicing the community of the West, we have an exciting growth strategy, which will lay the foundation for the future and provide opportunity for professional development and career progression.
Our Rapid Access Hub started operating on the 6th of March 2023 to cater for the backlog of patients waiting for planned endoscopy due to COVID-19. It has operated in partnership with Royal Melbourne (RMH), Western Health (WHH), Royal Children’s Hospitals (RCH) and Peter Mac Cancer Centre (PMCC) during the last financial year.
To date, it has recommenced partnership with RMH and working to get other partner hospitals to recommence as well. The Gastroenterology Department, Werribee Mercy Hospital is also in the process of getting on board with our Hub to provide Diagnostic and Interventional Endoscopic procedure. The hub consists of 2 endoscopy suites/theatres with 11 PACU bays, admission and discharge bays and supported by our modern Endoscope Reprocessing Department.
ABOUT YOU:
If you are a Registered Nurse, currently working in an Endoscopy or peri-operative setting with experience in Endoscopy, Anaesthetics and PACU, DOSA (Admission and Discharge) then this may be the place for you
Your skills and experience must include:
Bachelor of Nursing and currently registered with AHPRA
Previous experience working in Endoscopy and Interventional Endoscopy Experience
Demonstrated ability to work within the interdisciplinary team
Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise workloads within a dynamic environment
Ability to commit to on call rosters

Current registration with AHPRA
Current Endoscopy/Interventional Endoscopy experience is essential
Perioperative &/or peri anaesthesia (PACU/Anaesthetic Nursing) and DOSA (Admission/Discharge Nursing) experience is highly desirable
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
Current COVID-19 certificate, proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
