We have an exciting opportunity for a lawyer to join us on a casual basis as a Legal Counsel.

About The Role

The Legal Counsel, PEXA will ensure that FMS provides its clients with efficient and accurate property related processing services by certifying deals on Electronic Lodgement Network Operators and providing ongoing legal services to the FMS mortgage processing team, including as required, documenting commercial and corporate transactions.

We are seeking lawyers who want to be engaged on a casual basis so if you are looking to get back into the workforce or, have school aged children and looking for part time hours, this role is for you. The role requires an average of 5 hours per day, 5 days a week. However, this fluctuate depending upon volumes. The successful applicant must be available to work from the Chatswood office during the first 4 weeks of training.

About You

  • You hold a current Solicitors Practicing Certificate (preferably NSW but can be from another Australian state) with a minimum of 3 PQE
  •  You have excellent knowledge of property law and conveyancing procedures with exposure to the electronic platforms such as PEXA or SYMPLI
  • You have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • You have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • You have exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
