The Role:

  • Prepare and serve a range of meals / dishes according to an a la carte menu using a range of cooking skills and techniques.
  • Menu includes a range of entrees, mains, desserts, a specials board and includes pub classics with a modern twist.
  • Have input into the planning of menus and cooking procedures.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene and cleanliness practices throughout the shift, to ensure OH&S regulations are met.
  • Fulfils their part to ensure a high standard in the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
  • Availability to work day, evenings, weekends and split shifts.
  • Report to the Head Chef.

Required Skills & Work Ethic

  • Minimum relevant Diploma or Advanced Diploma or 3 years of experience without a relevant certificate.
  • Hands on relevant experience in an a la carte environment.
  • Passionate about great fresh food.
  • Delivers a consistent level of quality with a creative flair.
  • Work as part of a team
  • Well organised and a good communicator
  • Must be good at portion control
  • Hold work rights in Australia
