About the Role

As Medical Claims Team Leader you will manage a team of Medical Claims assessors, building a culture of service excellence ensuring the team exceed service SLAs. You will provide direction, empower and motivate the team in order to achieve businesses unit, team and individual goals. This role is a 12 month, full time contract.

  • Monitor team and individual productivity through daily and monthly reporting
  • Manage and adjust team resources to meet KPI’s and SLAs
  • Staff performance (KPI’s) are reviewed on a monthly basis and appropriate feedback given in monthly 1:1s
  • Regular communication with staff which includes daily huddles and monthly communication meetings with documented agendas and minutes
  • Effective people management which includes recruiting, on-boarding, coaching, developing and mentoring team members
  • Ensure individual and team milestones are acknowledged and recognised and high / exceptional performance is rewarded
  • Multi-skilling of staff is encouraged and utilised across teams to meet SLAs
  • Assess and review claims in accordance with Fund Rules eliminating overpayments/unnecessary rejections

About You

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

  • Excellent people management skills with desire to learn and develop others
  • Sound knowledge of all automated and claims systems including ACMEII, WHICS, ECLIPSE, PreMac, MPPA, HPP/PA, Medicover 
  • Demonstrated commitment to service quality
  • Ability to demonstrate the understanding of HCF policies and procedures
  • Ability to work under pressure and lead by example
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt positively to frequently changing work practices and needs
  • Sound organisational skills and ability to perform required tasks on a timely basis with minimal supervision
