As an Accounts Officer, you will primarily handle Accounts Receivable tasks and support the Accountant in creditor management, cash management, and bank reconciliations. Additionally, you will provide secondary assistance in debtor management and payroll functions, ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage debtor queries through various communication channels. Ensure timely payments within specified terms and follow up with debtors. Process credit checks and new account applications. Maintain records through Translogix. Input General Ledger items. Prepare daily reconciliation statements and petty cash reconciliations. End to end Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Input creditor coding data. Update files and process purchase orders and EFT payments. Payroll Administration Input weekly and monthly payroll data. Prepare and import journals for wages and superannuation. Update annual salary increases and calculate termination payments. Knowledge and Skills:
Excellent customer service and people skills. Team-oriented mindset. Strong performance under deadlines with high accuracy. Basic accounting and bookkeeping skills. Business administration experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Commitment to “Zero Harm” principles and philosophy.
Qualifications and Experience:
High School Certification. Tertiary study in Accounting or Bookkeeping. 3-5 years of experience in a similar financial or administrative role. Experience with payroll processes. Familiarity with in-house accounting systems (Translogix preferred)
