About this Opportunity
Our company is in the midst of rapid expansion in the industry, and we are excited to offer opportunities within our North QLD team for an experienced Shotfirer. These roles are pivotal in delivering top-tier blasting services to our quarry, construction, and forestry clients. Looking for someone who resides in the Greater Mackay region, although overnight travel to various quarry locations will be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in physically demanding work.
- Establish exclusion zones with appropriate signage.
- Deliver excellent blasting results by utilizing efficient blast design practices and accurate mark outs.
- Achieve blasting on time by successfully coordinating with customers and respective Impact employees for the delivery of drilling services, technical services and supply explosives.
- Provide a seamless service, ensure all pre and post documentation completed and ensure all explosive products are accounted for
- Develop, maintain and enhance relationships with allocated customers.
- Adhere to health and safety requirements
The Successful Applicant Will Have:
- Shotfirer Ticket.
- Dangerous Goods Security Card.
- Queensland Security Clearance.
- Demonstrated experience in blasting practices.
- Competency in explosive handling practices and supervision of blast crew.
- Strong customer focus and communication skills.
- Australian Open Class Manual Driver's License.
- Residency in Mackay, Queensland and surrounds.
- Ability to travel for work, with overnight stays as required.
