The Opportunity
Join our Procurement & Commercial Services team in the Organisational Enablement (OE) unit. As the Senior Sourcing and Contract Specialist, you'll lead end-to-end procurement processes, ensuring compliance, value for money, and strategic alignment. This role offers an opportunity to drive innovation, foster supplier partnerships, and contribute to organizational success.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Commercial Strategy and Execution:
• Identify potential suppliers and conduct market analysis to align with business needs.
• Negotiate complex contracts, ensuring service, quality, and added value.
• Monitor contract compliance, manage lifecycle, and resolve issues efficiently.
2. Team and Stakeholder Engagement:
• Build relationships across the organization to align sourcing with objectives.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to provide strategic advice and support.
• Mentor junior team members, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
3. Compliance, Quality Assurance & Risk:
• Drive strategies for managing 3rd party spend aligned with business objectives.
• Lead sourcing activities in compliance with procurement rules and policies.
• Maintain contract register, monitor supplier performance, and drive process improvement.
4. Procurement Maturity & Support:
• Understand and analyze procurement requirements, coordinating complex negotiations.
• Align processes with the organization's strategy and deliver outcomes aligned with priorities.
About You
• Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in business, law, or relevant discipline. Training in procurement methodologies preferred.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience in procurement, contract management, and vendor management for complex matters. Ability to build strong relationships and influence outcomes effectively.
• Attributes: Motivated with strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Extensive procurement experience in fast-paced environments. Growth mindset with advanced negotiation and communication skills. Comfortable working autonomously and within a team, committed to continuous improvement.
