Automotive Mechanic- Townsville

All industries Mechanical is seeking an experienced Automotive Mechanic to join our team in Bohle. We work on a wide range of machinery, including cars, trucks, trailers, cars, forklifts, cranes and more. This is a full-time role where you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance automotive vehicles. We are growing and looking for the right person to join our team long term.

About the role

Join our well-established workshop team in Townsville and take on a role that offers:

  • Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on a wide range of vehicles.

  • Regular customers who are great to work with.

  • Vehicle diagnosis & repair.

  • On-site breakdown service and on-call opportunities.

  • Typical hours: 7:30am - 5pm, Monday to Thursday & Friday 7:30am - 2pm, with overtime available.

  • Diagnose and repair a variety of automotive vehicles.

  • Dismantle, inspect, repair, and reassemble engines and components.

  • Liaise with clients to understand issues and provide recommended solutions.

  • Easy mobile app to record work hours and job notes.

  • Contribute to a safe and efficient workshop environment.

What we're looking for

  • Formal qualifications an Automotive Trade

  • Extensive experience (minimum 3 years) working as a Automotive Mechanic or similar

  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

  • A can-do attitude and willingness to go the extra mile

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to high quality standards

  • Proven experience with a variety of automotive vehicles

  • Efficient communication skills to liaise with clients and team members

  • Manual drivers licence (Essential)
