Chief Technology Officer About the Company

About the Role

The CTO will be responsible for providing technical leadership, innovation and creativity across all aspects of the company's business. Ensures that the development team has the necessary capability, resources and experience to deliver approved product and solution development, in line with the agreed plans and ensure that the IT team responds effectively to support the achievement of sales and customer satisfaction targets.

You will be responsible for monitoring, mentoring and coaching the technical team to ensure high quality of work.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of technical strategies and processes to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the technical team;
  • Work closely with the Delivery Team to streamline product implementations and deployments and;
  • Work with the board, employees and other contractors to develop, review, update and deliver the company's objectives.
  • Mentor and guide developers providing support and fostering their professional growth.
Qualifications
  • Professional work experience managing software product development projects and IT projects, with a proven track record of delivering technical solutions.
  • Several years of object-oriented PHP coding experience.
  • People management experience leading full-stack engineering teams building services, data systems, APIs and web applications.
  • Sound experience in web application development (front and back-end, ideally Azure) and cross-systems integration technologies such as ETL tools like Boomi, DataStage, SSIS and Azure Data Factory.
  • Knowledge and understanding of SOLID principles and OOP
  • Ability to breakdown and build out the scope of a feature or issue, identifying all relevant variables.
  • Experience managing and developing a fast growing team and overall technology infrastructure including development processes in agile development methodologies (XP, Scrum, TDD).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate development efforts effectively.
