The Opportunity

As part of a small, dedicated People & Culture team, the HR Advisor will be the glue that holds together the employee experience – from attraction and onboarding to offboarding and everything in between.

The position works closely with key internal stakeholders to shape how to attract and engage talent, promote the employer brand, and roll out meaningful HR and business improvement initiatives that make a real difference.

Most importantly, it's a workplace that values courage, authenticity, trust and a healthy sense of humour (yes, even in financial services).

What You'll Be Doing

Reporting to the Head of Performance & Culture, your mission is to help attract great people, support great people, and keep great people. You'll do that by:
  • Leading end-to-end recruitment
  • Supporting employee relations and development with practical, people-first advice
  • Collaborating on policy development and interpretation
  • Partnering with leaders to write clear, compelling position descriptions
  • Reporting on workforce trends, metrics and insights—so that informed, future-ready decisions can be made
  • Provide day to day HR support for onboarding, issuing contracts, HRIS admin, L&D and payroll queries
  • Working closely with leaders to ensure that best practice HR process is embedded across the business
About You

You've got a genuine passion for people and are skilled at navigating complexity with calm and confidence. Ideally, you'll bring:
  • Experience in recruitment and HR, especially in a small or medium business environment
  • Qualifications or hands-on experience in generalist HR practices (rem, L&D, policy, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of relevant Workplace Relations legislation and regulations
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Great judgment and a solutions mindset – open to continuous improvement
  • Strong planning and time management
  • Experience with Employment Hero (desirable), and willingness to become a subject matter specialist in the HRIS system
  • Financial services experience (desirable, but not essential—they'll teach you the acronyms)
