About The Project:

North Western Program Alliance (NWPA) consists of four Alliance partners - John Holland, KBR, MTM, V/Line and the client (LXRP), working together as one team to achieve shared goals.

Since 2017, NWPA has had a proven track record with the successful delivery of eight level crossing removal projects (13 LX) and several premium stations, with two projects currently in delivery (4 LX) and three in development phase.

We're looking for a Senior Community & Stakeholder Advisor to manage stakeholder and community issues and provide advice to the project team on communications, stakeholder and community engagement risks and opportunities to enable successful project delivery.

Your Role:
  • Assist to develop and implement the Communications & Stakeholder Engagement Management Sub-Plan for the project including developing and implementing relevant sub-plans and procedures, ensuring they are updated as per Project Owner requirements.
  • Identify stakeholder and community issues and develop strategies to minimise impacts.
  • Maintain registers and ensure community and stakeholder activities are recorded appropriately and in line with agreed Project Owner framework.
  • Contribute to the project's KPIs and ISC requirements and work with the team to encourage continuous improvement and innovation in delivery of communications and stakeholder engagement.
  • Manage communication collateral and responses to all project related communications matters including via phone, email, website and social media in line with agreed Project Owner framework.
  • Communicate stakeholder and community awareness and risk minimisation programs across the Project through inductions and toolbox presentations.
  • Develop good working relationships with the project construction team/s to ensure activities are undertaken strategically, minimising impact and disruption to stakeholders and the community.
  • Participate and assist with activities undertaken by the wider NWPA and John Holland communications team as appropriate.
  • Perform all tasks in accordance with the Alliance policies, processes, systems, report and procedures.
About You:
  • Tertiary Degree (Bachelor level) or certificate or relevant experience (disciplines relevant to function area, e.g. public relations, journalism, stakeholder management, marketing).
  • 5-7 years' experience providing strategic communications advice and services in Infrastructure Projects.
  • Multi-discipline experience, e.g. corporate communications, stakeholder relations, marketing communications.
  • Experience in leading project or specialist function activities.
  • Relevant experience gained within major organisations - relevant sector, government or consultancy.
