About the opportunity
The Process Improvement & Training Sr Officer works closely with Payroll Operations teams to ensure processes remain efficient, compliant, and up to date. They collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, assess current workflows, and identify areas for improvement. The role also involves managing changes due to legislation or system upgrades and developing tailored training programs for the payroll teams.
What you'll deliver with us
You'll streamline payroll operations by identifying inefficiencies, reducing errors, and ensuring compliance with new regulations. You'll also design and deliver targeted training programs to address knowledge gaps and maintain high performance across payroll teams.
You'll also
- Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to continually refine payroll processes, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and alignment with evolving standards.
- Evaluate payroll workflows to identify areas for improvement, streamline operations, reduce errors, and enhance governance.
- Update and review SOPs to reflect changes in legislation and system improvements, ensuring compliance across operations.
- Design and deliver targeted training programs, conducting needs analyses to address knowledge gaps and improve skills within payroll teams.
- Coordinate comprehensive training sessions, including inductions for new staff and refresher programs, to maintain high performance and operational standards.
About you
You're a proactive payroll professional with a knack for improving processes and driving efficiency. You excel at collaborating with teams and stakeholders to ensure compliance and streamline operations. With a focus on continuous improvement, you design and deliver tailored training that boosts performance and supports smooth onboarding for new staff.
You'll also need
- Experience in Payroll or HR functions, with a strong understanding of payroll processes and roles, including process design and documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver learning programs, particularly those supporting change management, with proven facilitation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate across all organisational levels.
- Strong technical and organisational skills, including the ability to simplify complex processes and manage multiple priorities effectively.
