About the Role: Our client is a leading University and research institution. We are supporting the university in seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lawyer to join their innovative and dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting a diverse range of activities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice on higher education and vocational education regulations, including the Higher Education Support Act, TEQSA Act, and NVETR Act.
- Support international and engagement activities, including offshore business set-ups, by advising on regulatory environments in Australia and relevant overseas jurisdictions.
- Advise on Work Integrated Learning (WIL) placement agreements, student clubs, student accommodation, philanthropy, and alumni relations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and support the university's student-related initiatives.
- Provide guidance on trademark portfolio management, communications, social media, insurance queries, and cultural initiatives such as galleries and design archives.
Key Requirements:
- A qualified lawyer with a minimum of 3PQE.
- You have previous experience working with a reputable law firm or in-house legal team (highly desirable).
- Experience in higher education and vocational education regulation advisory is highly desirable. Familiarity with the Higher Education Support Act, TEQSA Act, and NVETR Act is a plus.
- Candidates with other regulatory advisory experience will also be considered.
- Strong background in general commercial law advisory and contracting.
- Easy to work with, coachable, motivated, and engaged.
- Personable, diligent, proactive, and quick to adapt.
