Description

We have a great opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Community Development team in Mackay. Reporting to the Team Leader Civil, you will manage the civil design and documentation of a variety of urban, land, and subdivision projects in both the public and private sectors for a local and regional client portfolio. In this role, you will be involved with resolving design constraints, coordinating projects, interfacing with various disciplines, and delivering projects with the support of a multi-disciplinary team.

Day to day tasks would involve:

  • Design, coordination, and project management of urban, land, and subdivision projects, from feasibility through to construction.
  • Prepare technical reports and specifications.
  • Provide technical expertise to clients and support projects.
  • Manage projects including scheduling and the preparation of project budgets.
  • Coordinate between disciplines on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Undertake and manage site inspections.
  • Contribute to the development of Stantec's knowledge and skills in civil engineering including planning, design, and construction.
  • Maintain existing and develop new, trusted relationships with key clients.
  • Assist in the securing and delivery of projects by way of business development and client relationship management.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience in civil engineering design and the delivery of projects, ideally within urban, land, and subdivisions.
  • Experience and a sound understanding of current civil engineering technologies, including design, modelling, and construction.
  • Project management skills.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including report writing.
