Medical Science Liaison – Oncology & Haematology
Sydney | Melbourne | Brisbane | Perth | Adelaide
$130K–$170K + Super + Car/Car Allowance + Bonus
The Opportunity
Lead Group is partnering with organisations across the Australian pharmaceutical and biotechnology sector and is looking to connect with experienced Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) and Senior MSLs for current and upcoming opportunities within Oncology and Haematology. These opportunities offer the chance to work at the forefront of innovative therapies, build meaningful scientific partnerships with healthcare professionals and contribute to Medical Affairs strategy across Australia. Whether you’re an established MSL looking for your next move or an experienced scientific or clinical professional looking to transition into Medical Affairs, we’d be interested in hearing from you.
The Role As a Medical Science Liaison, you will act as a scientific expert within your therapeutic area, developing trusted relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), oncologists, haematologists, researchers and other healthcare professionals. You will communicate emerging scientific and clinical evidence, gather valuable insights from the medical community and collaborate with Medical Affairs, Clinical, Regulatory and Commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strong relationships with
KOLs and healthcare professionals
Deliver high-quality, non-promotional scientific and clinical discussions
Communicate clinical trial data and emerging scientific evidence
Gather and communicate medical insights from the healthcare community
Support advisory boards, scientific meetings and medical education activities
Attend relevant congresses and scientific conferences
Support product launches, pipeline activities and broader Medical Affairs strategy
Collaborate with Medical, Clinical, Regulatory and Commercial stakeholders
Maintain strong knowledge of the
Oncology and Haematology treatment landscape
About You We’re interested in connecting with candidates who bring:
Previous
MSL, Senior MSL, Medical Advisor or Medical Affairs experience
Experience within
Oncology and/or Haematology
highly regarded
Strong experience engaging with KOLs and specialist healthcare professionals
Excellent scientific presentation and communication skills
Ability to interpret and communicate complex clinical and scientific data
Strong stakeholder management and relationship‑building capabilities
Relevant scientific or clinical qualifications such as a
PhD, PharmD, MD, Pharmacy, MSc or Life Sciences qualification
We also welcome conversations with highly credible Oncology/Haematology researchers, PhD scientists, pharmacists and clinical professionals interested in transitioning into their first Medical Affairs/MSL opportunity.
What’s On Offer? Depending on your experience and the specific opportunity: $130,000–$170,000 Base + Super + Car/Car Allowance + Bonus
