to join our team. The role involves constructing, assembling, and dismantling formwork systems for large-scale commercial and civil projects. You will play a key part in ensuring concrete structures are built to specification, safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications to determine formwork requirements.
Measure, cut, assemble, and install timber, steel, or prefabricated formwork systems for walls, slabs, beams, columns, and stairs.
Erect, align, and secure formwork panels, supports, and braces to the correct dimensions and levels.
Place reinforcement supports, void formers, and embedded fixtures within formwork.
Assist with concrete pours, compaction, and finishing as required.
Safely strip, dismantle, and maintain formwork once concrete has cured.
Operate a range of hand tools, power tools, and equipment associated with formwork carpentry.
Maintain and repair formwork systems for ongoing use.
Work collaboratively with supervisors, engineers, and other trades to meet project timelines.
Adhere to all workplace health and safety requirements, including the correct use of PPE and safe work practices.
Skills and Requirements
Proven experience as a Formwork Carpenter in commercial construction.
Strong understanding of formwork systems, concrete structures, and construction processes.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
Competent in the use of hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
Physically fit, reliable, and safety-focused.
