Role Description This part-time Data Analyst (Entry / Junior) role at create&travel is a hybrid position based in Sydney, NSW, with a mix of on-site work and some work from home. The role involves collecting, cleaning, and organizing data from various internal and external sources to support business decisions. The Data Analyst will assist in building basic reports and dashboards, performing exploratory data analysis, and generating insights that help improve operational efficiency and customer experiences. Day-to-day tasks include supporting senior analysts with data modeling, validating data accuracy, documenting methodologies, and communicating findings in clear, accessible formats for non-technical stakeholders. The role also includes collaborating with cross-functional teams, following established data governance practices, and continuously learning new analytical tools and techniques. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and foundational Data Analytics abilities to interpret data and identify trends. Candidates should possess basic knowledge of Statistics to support hypothesis testing and data-driven decision-making. Candidates should possess Data Modeling skills to help structure and organize data for reporting and analysis. Candidates should possess clear Communication skills to explain insights and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical team members. Beneficial qualifications include familiarity with tools such as Excel, SQL, or BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and experience with data visualization. A relevant tertiary qualification or ongoing studies in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field is preferred. Ability to work both independently and in a team, with attention to detail, a problem-solving mindset, and a willingness to learn new technologies.
