At Acquire Technology Solutions, you’ll play an important role in managing our end-to-end receivables function within a growing global technology business. From invoicing and collections through to reconciliations, reporting and customer relationships, you’ll help keep our accounts accurate, our cash flow healthy and our customers well supported. Based in our Perth office and reporting to the Senior Accountant, this is a hands-on role with plenty of variety. You’ll work across multiple entities, currencies and jurisdictions, collaborating with colleagues across Finance, Administration and Commercial teams in Australia and around the world. What you'll be doing You'll take ownership of the day-to-day management of Acquire's receivables function, including:
* Raising and issuing accurate customer invoices and credit notes within agreed timeframes.
* Checking invoices against contracts, purchase orders and supporting documentation.
* Preparing and distributing monthly customer statements.
* Managing ad-hoc and non-standard invoicing and credit notes, ensuring appropriate approvals are in place.
* Maintaining accurate invoice records and supporting documentation.
* Proactively following up outstanding and overdue accounts by phone and email.
* Managing collection activity and escalating unresolved issues when required.
* Working with the Commercial team to resolve past-due accounts and minimise bad-debt exposure.
* Monitoring the aged receivables ledger and providing regular collection updates to management.
* Receiving and allocating customer payments accurately and promptly.
* Reconciling receipts against remittance advices and investigating unallocated or unidentified payments.
* Processing refunds and resolving overpayments, underpayments and payment discrepancies.
* Liaising with banks regarding payment queries, including foreign currency receipts.
* Supporting month-end cash and banking reconciliations.
* Following up outstanding Withholding Tax Certificates.
* Maintaining accurate customer account records and master data.
* Performing account reconciliations and resolving billing discrepancies.
* Responding to customer billing and account enquiries and building positive stakeholder relationships.
* Preparing aged debtor and receivables reports for management.
* Maintaining clear notes and records of customer account communications. What you'll bring We're looking for someone who is confident working independently, enjoys being part of a team and isn't afraid to pick up the phone and have a conversation when something needs resolving. You'll ideally have:
* A degree or diploma in accounting or a related discipline, or equivalent education, training or professional experience.
* At least 2 years' experience in a professional office environment, ideally with exposure to accounts receivable, credit control or finance operations.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
* Excellent organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
* A proactive, solutions-focused approach and sound commercial judgement.
* The confidence to take ownership and accountability for outcomes.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
* The ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across global teams and time zones.
* Adaptability and the ability to respond positively to changing priorities.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Copilot.
* A current National Police Clearance. It would be great if you also have:
* Experience with Microsoft Great Plains.
* Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O).
* Experience working across multiple entities, currencies or international jurisdictions.
* Experience using AI-driven applications or large language models.
