Role and responsibilities
Teach Technologies – Food Science and Technology (General Food Science and Technology and related courses, as applicable).
Deliver engaging lessons that foster curiosity and a love of learning while maintaining high standards of classroom management and restorative practices.
Contribute to a school culture focused on student engagement, belonging, safety, and inclusivity.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop teaching strategies, resources, and approaches that enable all students to reach their potential.
Demonstrate adaptability, resilience and a willingness to actively share and collaborate within a community of teachers.
Participate in the school's Instructional Model and Coaching program to support evidence-based practices.
Qualifications and qualities
Strong belief that every student is capable of successful learning and a commitment to effective teaching practices and ongoing improvement.
Excellent knowledge of the West Australian Curriculum and the ability to deliver content in an engaging manner.
Ability to teach courses such as General Food Science and Technology and related Design and Technologies subjects; ability to demonstrate how to provide educational opportunities that enable student achievement.
Experience using a range of teaching strategies, effective classroom management, and restorative practices.
Growth mindset and alignment with the school's Instructional Model; willingness to participate in Instructional Coaching.
Collaborative experience with diverse school teams.

Eligibility
Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment.

Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
