We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Kitchenhand to join our team at Dizy's cafe. As a Kitchenhand, you will play a vital role in supporting our kitchen operations and ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and service are consistently maintained.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the kitchen team in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, including dishwashing, sanitising surfaces, and ensuring proper storage of equipment and supplies.
- Assist in stock rotation and inventory management to ensure freshness and minimise waste.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient food service.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff members.
- Display a positive and professional attitude while working in a team-oriented environment.
- Occasionally help with basic food preparation during peak periods or special events.

**Requirements**:

- Prior experience working in a kitchen or culinary environment is preferred but not essential.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to take direction from supervisors.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Flexibility to work on weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings.
- A genuine passion for food, willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.
- Proven ability to work well as part of a team and contribute positively to a collaborative work environment.
