**Remuneration**: $28.07 per hour
About the role
As a Catering Assistant at Calvary Health Care Kogarah (CHCK) you will be responsible for working across a variety of roles which together are responsible for ensuring CHCK patients receive suitable, safe and nutritious meals. You will have a strong work ethic and take pride in delivering a high quality service to enhance patient care.
Duties you may undertake in this role include but are not limited to;
- plating, distribution and collection of patient meals, delivery of fluids and mid-meals, preparation of food and beverages, stock rotation and control, cleaning duties and use of an industrial dish washer.
This position works on a 7 day roster with variable shift times and durations.
In this position you will be required to maintain HACCP & Food Safety guidelines at all times.
**Your main duties will include**:
Current Food Handlers Certificate
Demonstrated ability to read, understand and follow HACCP & Food Safety Principles, policies and procedures in line with required standards
Demonstrated written and oral communication skills, organisational skills and ability to adhere to strict schedules and deadlines
Ability to work well as a team member as well as independently
Basic computer literacy and ability to learn new software
Ability to cover a rotating roster across 7 days
Ability to work within the Mission and Values of Calvary Health Care Kogarah
