We are currently seeking a highly motivated procurement professional to join our Services Asia Pacific Strategic Sourcing team. This role will be based at our West Perth Office, reporting to the Head of Sourcing Business Area - Services - Asia Pacific.

THE ROLE

Responsible for maximising overall supplier performance across a consolidated, competent, and reliable vendor base to meet MO (Metso Outotec) business objectives
Develop and lead a structured supplier relationship management program for critical suppliers to assess capabilities, capacities, KPIs, and improvement initiatives and to manage supply chain risk
Lead the strategic selection, qualification, and development of new suppliers in conjunction with local internal stakeholders and global procurement and quality teams
Develop short-term and long-term sources of supply agreements and contracts
Lead supplier negotiations to improve commercial terms and supply chain performance to lower total cost and lead time and mitigate risk
Lead cost reduction initiatives in conjunction with key business stakeholders and the ongoing development of the savings pipeline to achieve the agreed savings targets
Support the Metso Outotec business line strategies and requirements and proactively drive initiatives to meet sourcing objectives
Align with internal departments to fully understand their needs to form strong stakeholder relationships and provide strategic procurement support.
Work collaboratively with internal customers to develop strategic category plans and implement strategic sourcing initiatives.
Closely monitor and manage supplier performance in conjunction with the Operational Procurement Manager to ensure healthy levels of operational procurement performance are achieved.
Support operation procurement (as needed) in delivery expediting, contract variations, quality issues and supplier escalation.
Support the continuous improvement of sourcing processes and procedures, ensuring best procurement practices and policies according to the Metso Outotec code of conduct.

ABOUT YOU

3-5 years of experience in Sourcing / Procurement of Heavy Fabricated-Machined parts and assemblies, Casting, Forging and Transmission components, preferably for an OEM.
Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Supply chain / Contract / Project management. An understanding of Engineering Drawings and Manufacturing Processes.
Experience in managing sourcing projects with local and global vendors including working with international stakeholders
Brief knowledge of quality documentation such as MDR, ITP and NCR
Proven stakeholder management skills, ability to influence and resolve the dispute
Working Knowledge MS Office and SAP knowledge would be an advantage.
