You will be responsible for:Developing and customizing Siemens NX postprocessors to meet specific CNC machine requirements.Collaborating with CAM programmers and machinists to define postprocessor needs.Debugging and testing postprocessor output to ensure proper G-code generation and machine compatibility.Maintaining and updating postprocessor libraries and documentation.Working with Siemens Post Configurator and/or Post Builder to create or modify posts.Assisting in the implementation and standardization of CAM processes across the organization.Providing support and training to CAM programmers in using and troubleshooting postprocessors.What's on Offer?
Onsite parking and no FIFO – be home every nightExclusive employee perks: Onsite gym, physiotherapy, and social clubChristmas shutdown and family-friendly working hoursWhat You Bring:Formal qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).3+ years of experience in NX CAM postprocessor development or similar role.Proficiency in Siemens NX CAM, including experience with Post Builder and Post Configurator.Strong knowledge of G-code, CNC programming, and common machine tool controllers (e.g., Fanuc, Heidenhain, Siemens, Mazak).
Experience with 3-axis, 5-axis, Mill Turn, Multi-Function machine post development & experience with TCL or other scripting languages used in postprocessor customization.Exposure to NX Open or NX custom automation solutions.Why This Role Is DifferentWith workshops and offices covering over 18 acres in central Bassendean, the successful applicant will have the chance to be part of one of the largest manufacturing companies in Australia.
