Sporting the dual crown of Australia's oldest dairy and Australia's most innovative dairy, Brownes Dairy has an opportunity for a Technical Services Officer - Beverage, located at our Balcatta office in Perth. This role reports to the Quality Manager.

**The Role**

Coordinate and monitor the use of quality systems in the Beverage manufacturing operations to ensure our customers expectations are met and provide technical assistance and advice to manufacturing operation.

**Quality**
- Ensure the products manufactured meet the agreed specifications and coordinate sensory panels to ensure product quality standards are maintained.
- Coordinate appropriate testing throughout the manufacturing operation and interpret results.
- Investigate product failures and determine destiny of the products.
- Prepare and implement HACCP, quality system procedures & Food Safety Management Systems.
- Report FTQ, EQR, quality feedback and customer complaints on a weekly, monthly and on an ad hoc basis.
- Participate and champion continuous improvement projects as directed.

**Operational Performance**
- Provide feedback on operation performance with respect to quality parameters and supply advice for improvements in operational activities.
- Attend daily operations meetings and report quality results.
- Work in conjunction with operations to continuously improve FTQ in the Beverage manufacturing operations.

**Complaints Handling**
- Assist in the investigation of factory related complaints and develop systems and procedures to assist in reducing the customer complaints and quality issues.

**Specifications**
- Assist PD team in the implementation of accurate specifications and ensure the agreed specifications are accurate, workable and that product quality meets consumer expectations.
- Ensure quality parameters and testing requirements are included in specifications.

***Technical Services**
- Conduct housekeeping and external audits as assigned and within the agreed timeframe.
- Coordinate and continuously improve the BRC/HACCP/FSMS quality system procedures and maintain quality accreditation.
- Provide technical assistance to the manufacturing operation
- Manage the quality product hold processing database

***What you would bring to the role**
- Tertiary qualifications in Food Technology
- Minimum of 3 years' experience within the food industry in a Quality Assurance role with HACCP and internal auditor training
- An ability to think outside the box and make things happen - someone who will use their initiative
- Excellent organisational, time management and prioritisation
- Have the ability to foster a co-operative environment where others can be comfortable sharing their thoughts, even if they may be different.
- Strong computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong commitment to health and safety standards

- The Technical Services Officer role is a full-time position, Monday to Friday. You will work in a team with a focus on coaching and mentorship and in return you will receive a competitive salary.
