The team is around 8 people in Cyber and growing and this role will play a pivotal part in the Cyber Defence function.The role is permanent, with long term prospects offering options to people that come in and perform.
You will be challenged and have the chance to learn on the job.This role is 3 days a week in Perth CBD Office.Competitive salary with a bonus and benefits on top.The Role:A rare combination of hands on operations and strategic input.As a senior engineer, your role will cover escalated incidents, owning the SIEM, fine tuning and automating the defence environment, and collaborating with the cyber team.You will also work with leadership to map out what the next one to three years look like, how the business should think about emerging threats and of course, AI.The culture is a tight knit team, who all work hard for each other and encourage collaboration.
This is a key hire for the business.Some Experience Requested:Proven experience in SOC or cyber engineer, responding to and resolving escalated cyber incidentsStrong technical skills in SIEM (preferably Microsoft Sentinel), KQL, and automation tools like Logic Apps or Power AutomateSkilled in Python scripting, log analysis, and working across large data sets to isolate problems and deliver solutionsAbility to collaborate cross-functionally with architects, engineers, and business stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to think strategically, shaping what "good" looks likeExcellent communication skills, must be able to explain technical issues and influence decision-makingComfortable balancing day-to-day operational work with long-term strategic planningFor more information or a confidential chat - reach out to (emailprotected) .
