Vipac Engineers & Scientists Ltd is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Boilermaker to join our Melbourne based head office workshop located just 4km west of the CBD. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary team of Technicians and Mechanical Engineers in a well-equipped facility that includes a range of plant, equipment, and test chambers.

About the Role
As part of our maintenance and support team, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and maintaining a variety of mechanical systems. Your work will directly contribute to the smooth operation of our facility and support the broader objectives of other departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabricate and assemble mechanical test rigs
Perform on-site maintenance and repair work
Provide technical support to other departments as needed
About You:
Excellent welding skills and knowledge of various welding techniques
Proficient in reading technical drawings and following detailed instructions
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
A proactive, can-do attitude with a focus on problem-solving
Ability to manage time effectively, provide accurate estimates and meet deadlines
Requirements:
Trade Certificate in Boiler making or a related discipline
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently
Strong work ethic and a focus on safety
