**About the role**
OSHC, Floating Responsible Person works closely with Nominated Supervisors to manage the day-to-day operations of the before/after school care and vacation care service. This role requires the Floating Responsible Person to work across all 3Bridges OSHC sites.
The Floating Responsible will collaborate with the OSHC team to ensure compliance with regulations and law, as well as continuous quality improvement against National Quality Standards and My Time Our Place, as required by all OSHC services.
This role will act as the Responsible Person in the absence of the Nominated Supervisor.
- Assist in the development, planning and implementation of quality programs for children
- Collaborate with educators and provide curriculum direction and guidance.
- Support educators to effectively implement the cycle of planning
- Contribute to the evaluation and improvement of programs
- Collaborate with educators and provide curriculum direction and guidance.
- Ensure that children's learning and development are guided by the learning outcomes of the approved learning frameworks
- Actively supervise children and maintain appropriate supervision ratios to ensure children's safety and wellbeing; redirect as necessary
- Maintain an awareness of children's needs, wants and abilities and facilitate the achievement of these within the activities and program
- Instruct and monitor children in the appropriate use of equipment
- Assist the Nominated Supervisor in the day-to-day management of service operations.
- Assist in ensuring the implementation of and compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF) including the Children (Education and Care Services) National Law and Regulations
- Guide, develop and mentor the Educator team, playing an active role in building their knowledge and skills
- Act as a Responsible Person in the absence of the Nominated Supervisor and at other OSHC services as delegated.
- Maintain a knowledge of 3Bridges Children's Services and other services for children and promote them to families and schools in the area
**About You**
- Experience working in a 2IC or Leadership role within a school, aged care and/or education centre
- Experience in the planning, delivery and evaluation of programs for children aged 5 to 12 years within a care or education setting
- You have a Diploma or Certificate IV Children's Services, OSHC, Recreation; or Degree or Diploma Primary Teaching
- You have First Aid, Asthma, Anaphylaxis management certification
- Understanding and demonstrated commitment to EEO, Access & Equity including working with and supporting the inclusion of children with additional needs
- Understanding of needs of children from Aboriginal, CALD backgrounds and/ or with additional needs
- Demonstrated skills in the supervision and positive behaviour management of school aged children
