ITM is a global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of undercarriage components and complete undercarriage solutions.

An exciting opportunity is available for a Boilermaker to join ITM Mining at our Welshpool facility.

Working in a fast paced, highly productive environment you will be responsible for completing day-to-day welding activities in the Workshop whilst operating safely and to a high-quality standard.

Roles & responsibilities will include but not limited to:

- Complete day to day welding activities.
- Read NDT reports and quote repair work accordingly
- Ensure allocated work is completed to meet production schedules and primary objectives.
- Attend regular pre-start and safety toolbox meetings as scheduled by the management team.
- Follow Quality Policies and Procedures and review regularly to implement changes or improvement as needed.
- Complete accurate Job Cards and Timesheets in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure welding consumables and any other welding requirements are recorded and communicated to the Workshop Manager to allow for accurate cost estimates.
- Carry out MIG/TIG and stick hand welding, MIG automated welding, manual machining, free hand oxy cutting, general labour duties, pressing, grinding, maintenance and fabrication duties according to safe work procedures.
- Design and fabricate parts and equipment using manufacturer's specifications, or engineering drawings.
- Calculate quantities, times, materials, distances, weights and standard to metric conversions in order to perform fabrication, repairs and modifications.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Previous experience, skills and attributes:

- Experience in the use of various types of equipment and tools common to the welding trade ( e.g. mig welder, tig welder, oxyacetylene torch, arc welder, plasma cutter, saw, drill press, grinders etc).
- Knowledge of the characteristics and properties of various metals used in the cutting, forming, and welding of objects as well as various welding rods and fluxes used in welding metals.
- Ability to work within a team.
- Boilermaker/Welding trade qualification.
- 2 years' in mig and tig stick welding.
- Effective organisational and time management skills to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with a high degree of motivation, energy, initiative and commitment.
- Good written, oral and interpersonal communication skills to engage with a wide range of people.

Please note applicants will be required to be tested against our weld procedures to be successful.

**Salary**: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

- Overtime pay
- Penalty rates
