About the job
We are currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Maintenance Planner with a strong focus on safety to join our Maintenance and Reliability Team.
You will lead and uphold our Asset Management program through efficient and effective planning and scheduling principles to help drive continuous improvement in equipment reliability. You will be an integral leadership role within the Operations Centre (OC) work management team by facilitating the long-term process critical and major works Schedule ensuring mínimal equipment downtime impacts, whilst maximising equipment life.
As the Senior maintenance planner, you will provide leadership and support to your direct reports as well as the OC in upholding the Asset Management processes, this includes maintaining equipment maintenance strategies and associated asset management data is accurately reflected in the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Additionally, you will work closely with the OC Maintenance Superintendent in managing the maintenance and operating costs by effective use of the CMMS of all planned maintenance activities appearing in the long term and short-term rolling schedules.
Core duties include:
- Lead, support and uphold the work management system from work identification, planning, scheduling through to Job completion, review, and improvements.- Utilizing the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to maintain and update the Operating centre's assets including mechanical, electrical, instrument and civil equipment.- Scheduling data to produce yearly, monthly, and weekly plans, factoring in process alignment and impacts to produce executable plans which will be used to forecast site costs and production.- Coach and support your maintenance planners in the material management processes including the ordering and tracking of planned materials, as well as establishing and maintaining bill of materials (BOM) and any relevant sparing for all operating centre equipment using CMMS and work management programs.- Closely working and liaising with engineering, internal functional groups, vendors, and contractor resources to support the work management process.- Work closely and support the OC Maintenance Superintendent to meet monthly and annual financial targets through the budgeting and forecasting processes.- Support the OC and Site Engineering to optimise the reliability of the operating centre's equipment by the managing the asset management strategies within CMMS.- Lead, support and uphold the Major Overhaul Planning Process within the OC throughout the planning, execution, review, and improvement stages.- Lead, support and manage the planning team within the OC area.
About you

- Relevant industry or transferable experience within a Maintenance or Planning/Scheduling related role- Major Shutdown, Project and/or Long-Term planning experience would be beneficial.- Leadership experience in managing teams.- Effective communication skills to engage with diverse teams and stakeholders.- Ability to pick up and learn new systems and procedures easily.- Strong attention to detail to uphold accurate maintenance records.- Self-motivation and ability to use own initiative to solve problems.- Proficient in MS Project or similar project management tracking system, as well as a CMMS program (Alcoa use Oracle eAM) and the Microsoft office software suite.- Mechanical trade background or Certificate in an Asset Management related field would be useful.
