**About this role**
This role is designed to contribute to the development and support the execution of our environmental services business strategies, specifically supporting the growth and development of the Arup environmental practice within Western Australia.

**What will I do?**
- Lead and input to a range of environmental-related projects and associated statutory approvals, either in support of a wider team or as the Environmental Lead. This will include small to large projects across a diverse range of sectors including transport, energy, water and resources.
- Lead the development of Arup's Digital Environmental offering within Western Australia
- Lead the delivery of large complex environmental assessments and approvals mainly in Western Australia and support similar projects in other Australian jurisdictions and to some extent the Australasian region. This will involve coordinating people and resources within tight timelines and in line with budgetary constraints
- Collaborate with Business Leaders to secure pipeline and negotiate major contracts.
- Drive the development of our environmental planning capacity in Western Australia, including in relation to recruitment, appraisals, performance development, morale, and motivation of staff.

**What will I bring?**
- Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or similar area.
- Relevant industry experience in a consulting, private industry or a government environment
- Experience in environmental planning, environmental management, and delivery of environmental assessments within Western Australia.
- Project management and business development experience.
- Membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies or significant credit towards eligibility for membership.
