**Position Title**: Manager - Data Quality & Governance
**Classification**: HIM Grade 4 or equivalent
**Hours per fortnight**: 80 per fortnight
**Employment Status**: Full time ongoing

**Role Description**

The Manager, Data Quality & Governance is a key role in providing leadership of health information management activities across Bendigo Health to ensure excellent levels of service delivery relating to data reporting and governance. The role oversees Bendigo Health data reporting compliance to ensure clinical, administrative and legislative requirements are met.

The Manager, Data Quality & Governance is responsible for a robust governance model to facilitate high quality advice, support and analysis of data on behalf of Bendigo Health. This includes policy and procedure development; a broad audit program with full reconciliation of statutory datasets; data error management framework; comprehensive staff education programs; and responsibilities for using extensive knowledge of clinical workflows, patient movements, casemix systems and funding to present, interpret and analyse data.

**The Team**

The Finance and Resources Division is responsible for financial functions, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, performance monitoring and analysis, together with our procurement, materials management and facilities management functions. The division also includes Health Information Services with key roles in medical record management, clinical documentation, freedom of information, and external data reporting requirements. These are essential non-clinical services providing high-quality support, advice, monitoring and compliance functions. The team are focussed on delivering the strategic vision within their responsibilities and on assisting the organisation operationally.
