Our client, Macquarie Civil Pty Ltd, an expert in custom, made-to-order irrigation infrastructure and structural steel products, is currently seeking an experienced Welder/Metal Fabricator.Your main duties will include MIG welding, oxy cutting, grinding, use of machinery associated with metal fabrication.Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
• All types of welding mild and stainless steel
• Working from schematics and plans
• Fabrication of parts from raw materials
• Confidently working on fine, detailed jobs
• Perform general fabrication such as material cutting, grinding, drilling, welding, etc.

• Perform general duties around the workshop including preparing metal components and cutting using all types of equipment available.

• Read cutting lists.

• Read and interpret shop drawings and fabrication drawings.
(Material picking &marking and cutting).

• Utilizing your strong TIG/MIG welding skills to create precise and durable welds.

• Assembling components with precision and attention to detail.

• Applying your expertise in drilling, machining, and other relevant trade skills.

• Demonstrating an in-depth understanding of fabrication processes, particularly MIG welding for mild steel brackets and fittings.To be considered for the role:
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Relevant trade qualification.

• Fit, healthy and able to complete the manual requirements of the role.

• Communicate efficiently and fluently.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Solid knowledge of fabrication processes and techniques.

• Dedicated, clean and tidy.

• Be physically fit and able to complete work in summer & winter conditions in Australia.Benefits:
