**About the opportunity**

You will collaboratively define the NPP product strategy and delivery roadmap and drive the end-to-end implementation of initiatives to enhance Bendigo's payment capability. You will be supporting the Senior Manager Payments to improve customer experience in payments and be the SME for payments innovation.

You will work with our technology and industry partners (such as Cuscal and Australian Payments Plus (AP+)) to develop and implement the NPP roadmap. Be responsible for understanding and explaining technical concepts, with a focus on managing NPP resilience and operational risk.

Working with information from our customers and operations teams, you will assess and identify data driven process and technology improvement opportunities.

**In this role you'll get to...**
- Provide Payments expertise and guidance to all stakeholders.
- Work closely with operations team to identify efficiencies.
- Contract engagement, negotiation & renewal.
- Champion and actively manage Agile disciplines and process.
- Identify and evaluate process and technology deficiencies within the Payments business.
- Work with the business to elicit requirements.

**What you'll bring to the role**

You will have an understanding and experience in domestic Payments and not be afraid to roll up your sleeves.

To be successful in the role you will have:

- A sound understanding of NPP and the Australian payments landscape.
- A low tolerance for "this is how we've always done it".
- A curiosity for understanding not only how things work, but how they can work better.
- The ability to summarise ideas into presentations and papers, aimed at your target audience.
- A strong communicator, you know how to succinctly get your point across.
