PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIESInstall and maintain electrical equipment in accordance with Occupational Health, Safety and Environment regulations and all other appropriate standardsFind faults using advanced PLC controlled manufacturing equipmentAnalyse, develop and implement programs for plant optimisation, including but not limited to, downtime reduction to drive towards new targets, future expansion, new equipment implementation and commissioning, equipment improvements and ongoing continuous improvement programsMaintain and develop computer driven manufacturing equipment and control systemsFollow maintenance planning schedules in order to maximise quality production outputProvide assistance to relevant Team Leaders to continually progress and develop the Preventative Maintenance SystemDevelop creative solutions, within the bounds of fundamental principles, technical standards, and safety limits, to come up with best practice manufacturing processesBuild working relationships with production operators to identify and solve technical problemsLiaise with contractors and suppliersProvide assistance and training to plant operators for equipment maintenance and useAssist in developing tests / fixtures for components and finished products to ensure the product meets quality standards and operating requirementsTake full accountability for personal safety and well-being, develop an understanding of risk minimisation and be committed to achieving the highest possible standards for Safety, Health and the Environment (SH&E)Communicate and endorse safety practices, monitor key safety performance indicators and visibly participate in promoting safety policies and initiativesEssential Skills: An "A" Class Electrical Workers LicenceWell-developed fault finding and diagnostic skillsFormal qualifications and extensive PLC experienceSignificant experience working in a modern manufacturing environmentAn understanding of computerised maintenance management systemsAbout CapralCapral is Australia's largest extruder and a leading distributor of aluminium products.
